If Smalltalk is so much faster than C, as some are claiming, then it
seems to me that the various Smalltalk vendors who are implementing
parts of their Smalltalks in C and C++ have it *wrong*.

Instead, the C and C++ vendors should be writing their languages in
Smalltalk!
