The FAQ for this newsgroup gives the URL for a demo version of LPA MacProlog:

If memory serves, this demo is far from the latest version and has certain
features disabled.  But, it does give you a feel for the product and allows
you to check it out before buying.

BTW, I concur with everything in Alan Newman's response (in spite of him
being my boss!).  I too have worked with LPA's MacProlog32 for a while now
(although not as long as Alan) and am pleased with its abilities.  The only
part that I've found lacking involves Mac-specific interface issues - both
in its own user interface and the UI it makes available for the applications
you develop.
