The official and central information number for public transport enquiries
in the Netherlands gives information for travelling from one street to any
other in the Netherlands, by feet, bus and train.

It is based on a Prolog-program developed by two students who have now full
time jobs at the dutch railroad company. Here they are still improving the
program. I have heard their names and can enquire for their email adresses
if you want to. Let me know.
