Hi. The department where I work has just bought a 610/60 AV Power Macintosh
and I have been currently unsuccessful in trying to run LPA Prolog on it. I
have versions 2.5 and 4.5 but neither work. I think it has something to do
with the 32 bit addressing on the Power Mac. Has anyone been able to get
around this without having to upgrade the software???

LPA versions 4.5 and prior use the old 24 bit memory model.
The PowerMacs and AV model Quadras do not have a 24 bit emulation mode.

The latest version of LPA, MacProlog32 will run in 24 or 32 bit modes.
However, on a PowerMac, you need to turn off the "Modern Memory Model"
in the Memory Control Panel. Performance on the PowerMac 8100 that I
have used is outstanding; noticeably faster than a Quadra 800. I look
forward to LPA's PowerMac native mode compiler!
