			   Call for Papers

		Workshop on Parallel Logic Programming

			     attached to

		      International Symposium on
		Fifth Generation Computer Systems 1994
			      (FGCS '94)

			     Tokyo, Japan
			December 13 - 16, 1994

The aim of the FGCS'94 symposium is to present the ultimate
achievements of both the eleven-year FGCS Project and the two-year
FGCS Follow-on Project. The FGCS Follow-on Project started in April
1993, its goal being to disseminate the achievements of the FGCS
Project. It is scheduled to end in March 1995.

In this symposium, the first two days will be devoted to plenary
sessions, where keynote speeches and general reports of major research
results will be made, accompanied by on-line demonstrations of the
related software products.

The next two days will be devoted to workshops on six research topics,
where the most important technical achievements of the Follow-on
Project will be presented, together with related issues, invited or
contributed from the outside of ICOT.

One of the workshops is for "Parallel Logic Programming". Recent
research activities have proved that logic programming and parallel
processing can go quite well together. This workshop is for
discussions on various problems that should be solved for opening the
phase of practical use of parallel logic programming.

Submissions are invited for this workshop; the range of topics includes
 * concurrent logic programming languages
 * parallel implementation of logic programming languages
 * software development environment for parallel logic programming
 * novel applications of parallel logic programming
 * relation of parallel logic programming and other similar paradigms
 * reports on experiences with parallel logic programming
