A new release of CMUCL for the x86 ISA running on FreeBSD
is now available.

http://www.mv.com/users/pw/lisp/dl/CMUCL-FreeBSD.tar.gz

is a binary kit containing release 1.0 of this software.

Only a few weeks have passed since the b5 version containing
a working GC was announced, yet this code is very much leaner
and meaner, thanks to Douglas Crosher's search and destroy
operation in the x86 backend. Bugs, hacks and offensive code
sequences fell by the wayside as Douglas worked his skills.

Other details as well as pointers to the new source code is
available from my www lisp page.

I hope you will enjoy this release.

Regards,
Paul
