Shit, another "advocacy" thread. It's time I gave up on this nesgroup.
I'll just wait until Dylan is available to me (probably when I get
to install Linux - any month now).

Until then, there's nothing in this thread that tells me anything I
need to know about Dylan. The only valid "test" for me is to use the
bloody thing! I'll use anything that gets the job done in time.

Anything else is just dogma, as far as I'm concerned. Either I'll
use it or I won't, but no mere opinions can change my mind, and
while some posts here are more than just opinions, they are very
few. I can't justify reading this newsgroup just so I can get some
tiny bit of news about the latest version of MacMarlais, esp since
I don't have a Mac.

I know where to look to look for the real Dylan news (the Dylan URL
in is in the index in my homepage - the URL is in my sigfile), so for
me this newsgroup is effectively redundant. When I want an opinion,
I'll look for it in somebody's entrails.

Alternately, I'll use any software I'm paid to use, and when I program
in my own time, I'll take offence if anyone tells me what software to
use. If I had a car, I'd also be offended by anyone who tried telling
me which car I should drive. Surely that's _my_ business?

So long, and thanks for all the lambdas. ;-) When I get stuck with
Mindy or whatever, then I may return, but don't bet on it. I may
just email someone instead - it's much less hassle.

Martin Rodgers - someone with better things to do...
