interdisciplinary research programme which will bring together computer
scientists
and media content producers. This research is supported by the
Technology Foresight Programme, together with a consortium of industrial
partners.
Key research themes will be in techniques and tools for media content
production, especially to support the creation of 3D content and its use

available will
include a wide-screen semi immersive projection system with surround
sound driven by a dedicated multiprocessor, media servers, image and
video
capture equipment, virtual reality equipment and high performance
workstations. The partners will be connected by a high speed ATM
network.

strategy, monitoring the progress of the specific projects, setting up
new projects
and also will be expected to undertake personal research. The
appointment will be on the RA3 scale (26508 - 33202) and is for three
