This opens an interesting tangent :

I dont know all I could about the world and its physical laws;
therefore the control I exert over my behavior isn't a perfect
rational fit to my ends. One is naturally directed to
asking what that control should be, but Dan Hankins' remark
suggests to reverse the question :

Who is (what are the ends of, and the relationship to myself of)
the perfectly rational agent that shares my experience, body, role
and behavior, and has in some sense "complete" knowledge (by which
I mean at least all the knowledge inferable from my experience) ?
