I would like to get some understanding of Chomsky's recent
linguistic work, e.g. Government and Binding, X-bar theory,
and Principles and Parametres. Could anybody suggest to me
a GOOD INTRODUCTORY book on this? I don't want a book which
is too technical, for what I want to know are the main ideas,
motivations, problems solved (with a sufficient number of
examples).

Cheers!
