Does a standard Application Programming Interface (API) for Knowledge Based
Systems (KBSes) exist?

I would like to define an interface to a particular KBS (Neuron Data's Nexpert
Object) using OMG IDL. However, I'd like to create an interface that is not
product specific. So, does anyone know of any standardization effort in this
area? Of course, if someone already has such an interface already defined in
IDL, I'd be *reallly* grateful for a copy.

Thanks!
