I have made a comment regarding the reported progress/fate
of Cyc that I made clear was a statement made by a single
individual (nothing in print, nothing even semi-official).
In any case, and since that person could have his personal
reasons to 'wish' a certain fate for Cyc, I retract from
what I said.

By the way, I would like nothing more than seeing a very
successful migration of Cyc ideas to main-stream information
technology. The time when a major AI effort (such as Cyc)
produced a shift in the database and information system's
community is a much awaited and welcomed moment especially
by orthodox AI'ers (like myself).

Sincerely, all the best.
