Most OOA/OOD methodologies are different ways of doing the same basic thing. 
Rather than ask which one is applicable to a KBS project, ask whether the KBS
project can be described by any OOD methodology. Then use one. From my 
experience, there is a lot of synergy between OOP and KBS projects. Using
a given methodology to document your project and its design is a matter
of development maturity.
