I haven't heard of an *automated* moderation mechanism.  Some person still  
needs to judge the content for applicability.  But, as no one person may  
feel they have the time to devote to this burden, perhaps we could  
assemble a group of volunteers who would rotate the duty.  I would - GULP  
- so volunteer for, say, one or two months of the year.  NOTE: some of you  
may have noticed what is happening to news.announce.conferences re:  
moderation burden.  If there is some interest in this approach I'll find  
out from my system administrator what is involved in moderating to see if  
a rotating moderator is feasible.  Comments...
