Whoah! What about all the applications of AI-produced methods such as
fuzzy logic and ANNs in consumer electronics such as video cameras.
Perhaps such a USA-dominated perspective (IBM, Xerox) excludes this 
consumer electronics area, in which the SE Asian nations are doing a lot.
Ai techniques are also proving useful in robotics, medical technology
(ie. imaging systems), telecommunications (signal processing) and aids
for handicapped (bionic ears etc.).
