I sympathize with you philosophy majors and jobs in AI etc.

I remember in 1972 after my tour with the army, I went into the
Illinois Employment Office looking for work (coming from the
army I couldnt even qualify for unemployment insurance).

The man asked what my major was.

I said math.

He closed his book, sat back and said.

"You shouldn't have majored in math."
"I have nothing for you."

Needless to say I was not too happy, so I asked
"What would I need to know to do what you do."
