Would one of the proponents of the 'non-material-mediator' theory
of reference/semantics please give some indication of how a
 'non-mass-energy-mediator' could mediate associations between
physically grounded entities which , by virtue of the putative
non-material/other-worldly mediation are elevated to the status of
'symbols' ? Is it not more 'holistic' for the proponents of
'non-material-mediation-semantics' to recast their theories in
 terms of a category of 'not-yet-explained-physical-phenomena' ,
rather than resorting to a category of the 'wholly other' ?
