Dr Minsky states that what we call consciousness seems to
just be a collection of "reflective" short term memories.
He states that we have almost no sense of where our words
come from. This can also be said of thoughts (at least
these thought that I am aware of). No pun intended but
I think he shows great insight. Maybe consciousness is
aware of thoughts but not responsible for them, just
as it is aware of memories. No wonder this is such
a lonely world. (Has Psychology found the cause of
loneliness).

I'm aware therefore I am.
Sincerely
  Wayne Peterson
