Eccles favourite explanations of mind involve QM, it's true, but they
still involve a non-physical mind acting on the brain in various
ghostly ways.  He just uses quantum indeterminacy to provide the
causal gap where the mind does its work.  I believe the theory involves
nonphysical "psychons" acting on physical "dendrons" by triggering
finely balanced quantum systems.
