Has anyone read or at least examined Robert Ornstein's new book,
entitled "The Evolution of Consciousness: Of Darwin, Freud, and
Cranial Fire -- The Origins of the Way We Think"? The table
of contents looks interesting, with many parallels to Dennett's
"Consciousness Explained." But the advertisement I received in the
mail for Ornstein's book is so odd I cannot tell whether it is
pop psychology or a more serious work.
