OK.  It seems I cast the first stone in the current round of public
castigation of Mr. Zeleny, thereby committing the very act of which I
accuse him: misguidedly trying to improve the world by publicly
berating people.  The ensuing degradation of discussion, for which I
apologize, has amply reminded me that this is hardly ever a good idea.
