I'd like your feedback on the best places for a R&D elec engr to work.
 This would relate to places where advanced research and development
goes on, and where new ideas can be tried out.  Somewhere between
Academic research on the one side and full-scale product development
on the other.  

Take these as models:  Lockheed Skunkworks, Xerox PARC, Apple
Research, Bell labs, JPL, ...
