I work for an international publisher which produces a reasonably
well-known neural networks journal (which I shall not identify in order
to be highly compliant with Internet guidelines about advertising!).
However, I'm posting this in an individual capacity as much as for
reasons of market research - to put it simply, I'm curious.

I just wonder how many of you in the neural networks community would like
to have a refereed journal available in an electronic format alongside
paper. If you do, would you prefer some kind of annual CD-ROM, or an
online system which registered subscribers can access?

Would you be prepared to pay a little extra to have either of the above
services, and if so, what do you feel is a fair price?

Finally, if you feel an electronic journal is a desirable thing to have,
would you accept having such a journal in LaTeX (with graphics provided
as separate TIFFs or EPS files), or would you prefer the journal in some
kind of device-independent form (e.g. DVI files, PS, Adobe Acrobat etc.).

I welcome your feedback, and will happily get into a detailed discussion
with anyone who replies and wishes to explore such issues in depth.
