Help,
Can anybody point me in the direction of some references
for the aforementioned topic. I am attempting to write a neural network
for generalised use. I can tell if the learning rule is stuck in a
minimum just by monitoring the output, but others may not be able to.
Is there an algorithm for detecting when a local minimum has been
reached ??

Any help at all on this matter would be appreciated.
(Please reply via e-mail if you can)

Thanks
