There`s a group getting together to create a GA game already (see the
Genetic Game posting in this group). It`s not quite what you suggested in
that it`s more of a shoot-em-up with the player fighting against a whole
load of evolving species. We`ve got some very interesting ideas about
the player having to evolve progressively better `power-ups` to fight the
aliens as they become more and more intelligent.

We`re planning to develop the project for several platforms at once, and
have people who are interested in working on many different areas of the
game such as evolving music (possibly based on `whale music`) and evolving
graphics (at the moment we`re talking about morphing the parents to create
graphics for offspring!).

At the moment, the whole project is still in a state of flux. We are really
keen to get more people and ideas involved, so get in touch if you`re
interested.
