Am I correct in assuming that P54C is a standard Pentium (Pro) and that a
P55C is a Pentium (Pro) with MMX?

I bought a Pentium 166 back in September and I cannot find the terms P54C
or P55C anywhere on the box that the chip came in nor in the
documentation. BTW, the chip came in an official Intel box, not some
generic chip package.

However, my motherboard documentation made references to P54C and P55C so
I was quite confused.

Another thing, is it strange that the motherboard that I purchased last
September was aparently MMX capable?
