Interesting, has anyone tried replacing the gren.gen file with a mum#.gen or 
dad#.gen file from an egg disk?  This should turn the Grendels into Norns, 
correct? (I have only been playing for an hour or so and have not seen any 
Grendels yet, lucky me!)
