My name is David Crow, I have recently been accepted into the Master of
Human-Computer Interaction Program ("HCI Program") in the School of Computer
Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I am scheduled to commence studies in
August, 1996.

I am inquiring about any opportunities that may exist for graduate student
fellowships and future employment. I am seeking assistance in funding the
12-month HCI program at Carnegie Mellon University. The HCI Program aims to
provide its students with the skills necessary to participate in the design
and implementation of software systems that can be used easily, effectively
and enjoyably.

I have performed the online searches, gone to the career resource center here
at the University of Waterloo and talked to the Program coordinator at
Carnegie Mellon University but I have not been able to find funding. The
problem is that many, if not most, of the scholarships are for Canadians
studying in Canada or Americans studying in the United States. I am a
Canadian citizen and would like to take advantage of the oppurtunity to attend

Carnegie Mellon.

I am available to start work after April 17, 1996 and the program at Carnegie
Mellon starts August 12, 1996. For more information about me or my
qualifications please contact me at dccrow@uwaterloo.ca

I would really appreciate any help that anyone can provide me in finding
funding for this program. Thank you.
