X3J13 Issues

X3J13 made several hundred of its decisions in modular fashion through symbolically named ``issues,'' each composed of an abstract problem description and one or more possible resolutions for vote.

These issue writeups, while not part of the Common Lisp specification, are nevertheless useful for understanding original intent. As such, they are cross-referenced throughout this document. However, even in the case of an erroneously transcribed or applied decision, text in the specification always takes precedence over text of an issue writeup.

Cross-referencing occurs in two ways: At the bottom of each affected page is a pointer to any relevant issues. Further, associated with each issue is a table of affected pages.
