OK I'll jump .... actually roll

    place a large mass at the center of the spher (0,0,0) 
    connect it to three screws that are connected to (1,0,0), (0,1,0) and 
   (0,0,1) via nuts that can be turned.

   turning the nuts will move the mass, change the center of gravity for the 
sphere and it will move.
