To all robotics people:

I am a senior in Electronic Engineering at Cal Poly, SLO, and will
be beginning my senior project soon. I have little experience in
robotics but would like to interface a robotic arm to a Macintosh
computer (either serial or SCSI port).

If anyone has any information regarding interfacing the Macintosh, or
knows of any sources of cheap (<$1000) robotic arm kits, I would
appreciate very much if you could help me out. Any books or
references would be helpful also...

On another note, our department has funds for purchasing a higher quality
robotic arm -- either a used industrial robot, or a more expensive kit-type
robotic arm. Any information along these lines???

Thank you very much for your time...
