| "In the early eighties we hired a local youth who was a promising sculptor named Jay Adams. Jay had good crisp detail and his only flaw was too thin weapons that broke regularly. We got him to fix this minor flaw and thought he would be a Ral Partha sculptor for many years to come. He learned how to make molds fairly well and was further trained in sculpting by Tom Meier. Within a year, Jay moved to Atlanta and started a new company named Broadsword. With miniatures the thing back then, he captured the imagination of those aspiring to get into the miniatures business and was a big hit with the Atlanta distributors of that time period - JL Brown and Sword of the Phoenix. He appeared to be prospering and then went out of sight and business within two years. Perhaps he went onto college and then into a different field."
