School and research links:

My area of research is low power computing. For my Ph.D. work, I integrated models of battery behavior and models of system performance in order to increase the amount of computing that can be performed in a battery life. The group I worked loosely with is the Wearable Computing Group in the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES).

Feel free to visit my recreational page, with my photo album, homebrewing links, and other non-professional items.

A relevant quote, given the calls for censoring the Internet, from Supreme Court Justice Brandeis:

"Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the Government's purposes are beneficient. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding..."
