The position offered is for a member of a research group in the
development of innovative RETSINA Intelligent Software Agents
and for experimentation in the behaviors and properties of multi-agent
systems.
Research issues being investigated span the full spectrum of
agent research and include, but are not limited to, multi-agent
coordination, agent planning, plan learning and recognition, agent
negotiation strategies, and the development of agent communication
protocols and infrastructure for scalable multi-agent systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
combination of training and experience; demonstrable fluency in
C, C++ and/or Java; ability to write clear, modular and self-documenting
code and documentation; must be able to get around campus; sitting
for long periods of time using keyboard and CRT (or other computer
programming devices); office could be in an enclosed space with
potentially limited access to open windows; ability to learn quickly,
work well under pressure, pay attention to detail, meet inflexible
deadlines, and deal with difficult individuals while maintaining
composure; ability to comprehend complex system and applications
related materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination
of training and experience; knowledge of other programming languages;
experience in Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming;
familiarity with AI techniques and concepts.
