Welcome to Robotic Autonomy! This is a temporary web page with important information that you need to know to prepare for the course. You all should have already received information on downloading and reading three chapters of a book on Robotics to provide you with background information. As you read these chapters, if you have question, please feel free to contact Illah to discuss the reading.
There are several very important points in the pages linked above. First of all, we will have a kickoff meeting during the first hour of class on Monday. We encourage your parents to also come for this introduction to the course. After this we will have a small welcome reception, including some snacks. So please invite them to stay for that. The opening day link has this information.
There is a nice picture of the building where we will be having class, Building 17 at NASA/Ames, on the directions page. Check that out.
Finally, the most important information in this web site is contained in logistics. We explain there how you will get on the NASA base, what time we expect you to arrive and leave each day, and how to handle lunch. The arrival and departure times are especially strict. Read that section carefully.
We look forward to seeing you in less than two weeks,
The staff of Robotic Autonomy
