I'm a fourth year Ph.D. student (“RoboGrad”) in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University.
I am being advised by Takeo Kanade and James Kuffner.
My research is in humanoid robotics and computer vision. Specifically, I try to use techniques from vision to aid in providing humanoids with the basic capabilities needed to autonomously act in human environments.
I'm involved in the RoboOrg organized crime syndicate graduate student organization.
I'm a recently converted non-fan-boy japanophile and have been studying Japanese since fall 2005.
Before moving to Pittsburgh after a brief stint at Yale, I did my undergrad at Cambridge. I grew up in Germany, Greece and Costa Rica. It was warmer there...
