Autonomous Miniature Robots Built by Carnegie Mellon Students Will Race for Cash Prizes Totaling More Than $2100
EVENT: More than 10 teams of Carnegie Mellon University students will compete for some $2,100 in prizes as they race autonomous, self-powered miniature robots they've designed and built on a torturous, curving 255-foot-long course in the 15th Annual School of Computer Science Mobot Races: Mobot Slalom. First prize of $1000 will be awarded to the top finishing undergraduate team. Second prize is $500. Third and open class prizes are $250. A $100 Judge's Choice prize will be awarded to the most unique robot, and an extra $250 is available for any robot that beats the course record time standing on the books.
