Location:
The workshop will be held
in the beautiful Laurel Highlands in Southwestern Pennsylvania about 50 miles
from Pittsburgh.
In early October the vegetation in the Highlands
puts on a beautiful show of colors and the weather is still not too chilly. The
event will take place at the Summit Inn, situated on one of the Laurel Ridges.
It is right up the road from the Laurel Caverns where amateur spelunkers can
visit the underground caverns. The banquet will take place at Frank Lloyd
Wright’s wonderful Fallingwater.

The Summit Inn
The workshop will take place at the historic Summit
Inn Resort in Farmington.
Celebrating its 100th year in 2007, it is a warm inn with a
magnificent view of the Laurel
Highlands. It is located
just next to Laurel Caverns.

Weather and clothing
Although the weather in the northeastern US is very warm (as of the end of August), it
will be getting cooler and the days will be getting shorter. You should prepare
for rain, for cooler evenings and, for the visit to Laurel Caverns, you should
wear appropriate shoes.
