Brief Bio

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in the School of Computer Science at the Beijing Institute of Technology (Beijing, China) at 2005, and joined the school of software as an assistant professor. The Ph.D. advisor was Yuanda Cao. Now I worked with Alexander Hauptmann as a visiting Scientist in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. My research projects focus on multimedia, computer vision and machine learning and their applications, I also worked with Gangyi Ding on Digital Performance and applications for 29th Olympic Games Opening/Closing Ceremonies and Parade of 60th National Day of China in Beijing Institute of Technology. In my spare time, I like spending time with my friends, watching movies, reading books, playing basketball and soccer.

Research Direction

I am generally interested in computer vision, machine learning and multimedia information retrieval. I currently work on human activiy recognition and object tracking.
