I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Takeo Kanade. I worked as an associate researcher at MSR Beijing before I began the Ph.D. program.

Research

My research is in the area of computer vision and statistical learning. I am particularly intereted in recognizing detailed structures of objects. I have been working on several related problems and projects, such as face and human body alignment. I am generally interested in philosophy and computational techniques in understanding the visual world.
