My
general research interests are to develop technologies that facilitate communications between human beings.
This
means to expand information access
- across
different languages (machine
translation),
- across
different medias (text and
speech processing),
- to
quickly "dig" interested information out of overwhelmingly huge amount of information
ocean like the world wide web (information
extraction and text mining).
